The Ultimate Party Shop was Established in 1996.
Our business was inspired back in 1995 after we found it very difficult to create the fabulous halloween outfits that we wanted to wear for a halloween party. At this time party shops did not really exist in the UK but with inspiration taken from the USA we decided to challenge ourselves and invest in an exciting future in this fabulous industry.
We are a truly a family affair consisting of four sisters with a passion for fancy dress, fun, and parties.
Caroline and Sue run the company full time along with Jenny & Jo who are now part time but have been heavily involved in the business since the beginning.
With a wealth of experience in the creative world, event planning, entertainment management all of us together bring the perfect combination not only to help create your ultimate party but also the organisation and experience to bring it to life. We are educated in balloon decorating to make your event as perfect as possible. Our love of fancy dress ensures we stay on trend and up to date with all the latest movies and themes along with honouring the classics.
Between us we make a great team along with the continual efforts of our very valued team including James and Toni, who we consider to be family.
Since we began this journey we have learnt a lot and our business continues to grow and adapt year on year to reflect our customers changing needs. We now have a large focus on children's curriculum and fun based costumes as well as a large adult range. Our fancy dress accessory lines extend from wigs and make up to items you can use to create just about any look, from the eras to superheroes, should you wish to make your own outfit rather than buy off the shelf.
We also have a large fancy dress hire department for those who prefer to have a more unique, top quality costume with appropriate accessories all included in a very competitive and surprisingly cost effective price.
The party decorations that we sell have all been tried and tested by our very large close knit family - we have at least one birthday a month, sometimes up to three. Wanting to make everyone feel special we try to create different themes for each one of our birthday dinners, reflecting the personalities of those being celebrated.
Our regular parties range from catering for birthday parties for our neices and nephews aged 1 upwards to our wonderful folks! Obviously along the way we have also had many baby showers, christenings, hen & stag parties and weddings. We like to use our experiences to help you with yours and can advise on the best decorations for room sizes, family to formal occasions, corporate business launches, promotions and many more.
